We are a working sewing studio on Burch Rd in Northfleet, two minutes from Gravesend town centre, with a free car park outside. Bring us anything that needs taking in, letting out, shortening, mending or making from scratch.
Most alteration shops are a counter and a back room. We are a full pattern and production studio — the same cutting tables and industrial machines we use for London fashion labels are the ones your coat gets mended on. That means we can handle work other places turn away: a lining rebuilt, a jacket taken apart at the shoulder, a dress re-cut two sizes down, a zip replaced in leather.
We have been on Burch Rd since 2012. There is free parking on site, so you can pull up, drop off and be gone in five minutes. Most alterations are ready within a week; if you are up against a wedding or a flight, tell us and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it.

Do I need an appointment?
Not for a quote or a drop-off. For bridal and occasionwear fittings it is worth ringing first on 07703 298765 so we can give you a proper slot and a fitting room.
How long do alterations take?
Most straightforward work is ready within a week. Complex tailoring or bridal takes longer. If you have a deadline, say so when you drop the garment off and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
Can you do it while I wait?
Occasionally, for very simple jobs, if the studio is quiet. Ring ahead rather than turning up and hoping.
Do you take on things other shops have refused?
Often, yes. We are a pattern-cutting and sample studio, not just an alterations counter, so reconstruction work that needs a garment taken apart and re-cut is normal for us.
