Olga came up through large garment production companies, developing samples and clothing lines for blue-chip designers — then worked at the opposite end of the trade entirely, cutting patterns and sewing production pieces for independent and private clients. J&O is, in her words, her greatest achievement.
We tell you when it won't work.
Most sample rooms make exactly what you send them and let you discover the problem at the fitting. We don't. If our experience says a fabric selection or a design element is going to fail — that the cloth won't hold the shape, that the seam will pull, that the detail won't survive a production run — we raise it before it is cut.
That costs us a conversation and saves you a sample. It is the single most useful thing a pattern room can do for a designer, and it only comes from having made the mistake already, on someone else's cloth, years ago.
Every garment maker, sampler, cutter and pattern maker here is an outstanding professional, motivated by a love of the industry and pushed to greater accuracy by the rest of the team around them.
We work with specialist fabrics and machines at the highest level of design audacity and technical complexity, and we work quickly. As the studio puts it: we're virtuosos with sewing machines, and on the cutting table.
